Occasionally, our lives get so complicated we find we might not have all the time necessary to really take care of feeding our dog or other pet. Utilizing a dog bowl feeder for your pet might be the ideal solution, truthfully. With it, you can ensure your beloved animal gets the food and water it requires.

Any good automatic food dispenser comes with a small cold storage box where one or two cans of special food can be held. The best units will even open and dole out food from those cans! Almost all elevated double dog bowl feeders use modern electronics to handle the feeding and watering tasks, too. They can put out up to ten pounds of food at a time. This is an amount more than sufficient for most any pet.

Assembly of these units is quick and easy. They all come with easily-understood guides and instruction manuals. Some even have video CDs and online help available for when you’re just starting out with automatic feeding for your pet. They can help to determine food amounts appropriate for your pet, which is a big help these days.

Almost all dog bowl feeders on the market are built to handle one or two animals. You designate feeding and watering at various times throughout the day. Up to 8 periods can usually be tasked. Or you can limit it to just one, if you have a pet on a diet.

If you have a large or tall dog, or an animal with arthritis that prevents it from stooping over, you can buy a raised feeder. This is an ideal solution for a pet that prefers or needs its food in a bowl that’s raised up higher than it would be if it were on the floor.

Most of these automatic feeders are set up to accommodate animals in the fifteen to forty pound range. There are specialty feeders, though, and they can take on much bigger dogs or pets, if need be. None of them are very complicated or difficult to use, and they all dole out food with relative ease.

A double dog bowl feeder usually comes with a standard 1.5 gallon container. With it, you can load up to 1.8 gallons of dry dog or pet food in it. It then turns around and doles that out safely and effectively. And any good unit will handle watering chores, also. Just follow the included instructions for setting it up.

Any dependable and well-constructed feeder will come in a variety of styles. They’ll also have at least two stainless steel or ceramic bowls. These materials are recommended rather than plastic. This is because plastic can be a breeding ground for food born bacteria, which hide in gouges and scratches. Always make sure to use only dry food in the feeder, by the way. Most aren’t built to handle wet foods. With these machines, both the owner and his or her pet can come out stress-free and the animal can be well-fed.
