Getting Advice On Dog Behaviour |
From experience there are 2 ways to obtaining good advice on dog behaviour, attend a professional training class or consult a quality dog training manual.
I feel the best approach however is to do both.
It is hard to take in all the instructors teachings during the class so it is always good to have a backup manual at home.
A word of caution however, the quickest route to training your dog requires that you are consistent in your commands to your pet.
You do not need to be mixing the methods by which you give instructions to your pet, that will only serve to confuse it.
By all means seek advice on dog behaviour from a manual but use it to back up your training classes unless of course the manual proves to be a complete course with video, of which I know only one, SitStayFetch.
